Sommelier and event planner

Roxana is the person behind The Wine Planner. She picks the wines, builds the evening and hosts it, and you can see that in every detail, from the order of the bottles to the moment the glasses change.
As a sommelier, she looks for wines with something to say and puts them in context: who made them, why they work with that dish, what to look for in the glass. As an event planner, she makes sure everything logistical disappears from the guests' view.
Her way of hosting is warm and direct. No lectures, no jargon, but she will answer any question about what is in your glass.

Vila Oro is where most The Wine Planner evenings happen. It is made for small events, not big halls: a long table, warm light and enough room for every group to feel at home.
Every event rearranges it a little. The table is set for the number of guests, the glasses for the wines, the light for the hour. And the sea is close, so the evening can start with a walk.

You tell us the occasion, how many you are, where and roughly when. We come back with a few questions and a first idea for the format.
The concept and the wines
Roxana proposes the format, the wine selection and, where it fits, the food pairings. We adjust together until it suits you and your budget.
The evening
At Vila Oro or at your place. The table is set, the wines are at temperature, and Roxana welcomes and hosts the evening. You are a guest at your own event.

What people ask before they write.
Where do the events take place?
Usually at Vila Oro, in Santa Maria Bay, Constanța. On request, Roxana comes to your venue: office, restaurant or home.
For how many people?
For small groups. The right number depends on the format, a seated tasting and a networking evening ask for different things, so we settle it in the first conversation.
Who chooses the wines?
Roxana, based on the occasion, your preferences and your budget. If there are wines you loved or a special bottle, we work them into the story.
Do you include food?
Yes, on request. From boards designed to pair with the wines to a dinner with several courses, depending on the format.
How long does an experience last?
It depends on the format. A guided tasting is shorter, a dinner lasts as long as a good dinner should. We agree on the length when we discuss the concept.
In which languages?
In Romanian and in English.
How far in advance should I write?
The earlier the better, especially in season. Send us the date and we will quickly confirm whether it is free.
How much does it cost?
Every experience is built to order, so the price depends on the format, the wines and the number of guests. We send you a proposal after the first conversation, with no obligation.
